Acts 4:33, And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Qualifications must be met in order for God’s power and great grace to raise the dead to be manifested. We know that the twelve Apostles had this power and great grace operating in their lives, so lets look at how they lived.

In Acts Chapter 6, the church was growing so fast that the daily administration of food to the poor and elderly was not being met. The Apostles had the answer. The Helps ministry was implemented so they could continually give themselves to prayer and the ministry of the word.

In order to walk in this kind of power separation unto God is a must.

  • You must be holy. Without holiness no man will see the Lord’s power. (Hebrews 12:14) Holy means, Set completely apart unto God. Jesus said that if a man love his own family and his own life more the Him that he cannot be His disciple. If you attend to God’s business, He will attend to yours.
  • You must be humble. Before honor is humility. (Proverbs 18:12) God will honor the humble with His power, but He gets ALL THE GLORY. Humbleness is to obey so He can get the glory. God rewards obedience with honor not glory.
  • You must be hungry.
  • Those that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. Hebrews 11:6, God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Psalm 63:1-2, O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

God will manifest His power in the sanctuary and in the wilderness to those that hunger for His presence more than the food and water they need in a dry and thirsty land.

Also, if you desire to be used by God with His great power to raise the dead, your faith and attitude will need to be developed in this area. You will know that this is an easy thing for the Lord, and that He desires to do it through you.

This can only come through fellowship with Him in the word of God and prayer. Get to know Him not only as Lord, but as you best friend and High Priest over your words and He will manifest His power and great grace through you for the benefit of others.

You must know that your words have power (authority) to raise the dead, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers and cast out devils. Words cannot be causal. You must know that every word spoken has power. Speak only good all the time.

Ephesians 3:20 states, Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask (words) or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Philemon 1:6 states, That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

You must acknowledge the power of God in you if you want your faith to become effective in the lives of others. You need to say out of your mouth, I have the power of God on the inside of me now to raise the dead, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out devils and to do all manner of wonderful works in the name of Christ Jesus. Jesus never denied who He was, who sent Him, and the power that was abiding in Him. You must say it for others to hear as well as yourself.

There can be no fear present. Fear will stop the power of God from flowing through you. Jesus told Jairus, as soon he heard of the death of his daughter, to, Fear Not, only believe. (Mark 5:35-36)

Jesus would not even allow people that were in fear to go with Him to Jarius’s house. The only ones that He allowed to go were the ones that he knew that were in faith, Peter James and John. Fear would have stopped the miracle.

A while back, I had a dream concerning faith and fear. There was a person whom I did not know that randomly dialed my telephone number and was in great need of help from God. I told her in a slow distinctive voice, "You must get all fear out. Faith and fear can not dwell together. When faith comes in fear will leave."
