McDonough, Georigia is located in Henry county,"The Mother of Counties."
On December 17, 1823 McDonough was incorporated in honor of Commodore Thomas McDonough, hero of the Battle of Lake Champlain
in the War of 1812. By 1827 McDonough contained a brick courthouse in the Public Square. Today,
the McDonough area is currently one of the fastest growing in the United States.
