Don’t Limit God

How does the Church prosper in perilous times? We turn our attention towards Israel and do everything that we can do to bless them and get them saved. We do not put limits on God towards man through unbelief. Unbelief limits God as to what He can do for men.

Psalms 78:41 Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

The word limited in the above scripture means grieved. When man does not believe what God has said, it grieves Him, because He cannot bless in full measure. God is a giver. Man must be a receiver. The only way man can receive from God is through faith or belief in His truth, which is His word.

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Hebrews 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

The two immutable or unchangeable things according to this scripture are his Word and His Name. He sware by Himself. God took an oath on His own Name that He will bless Israel and whosoever is in faith forever.

Genesis 22:15-18, And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

God also took an oath that He will not bless unbelief.

Hebrews 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

Psalm 78:21-22, Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;

22 Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:
