Israel God’s Harvest
Concerning the elect’s salvation, we must believe what the word says
about them and do everything that we can to see the word come to pass. This includes giving of our finances to them.
Notice how the Apostle Paul states it in Romans Chapter 11. How it goes with
the world and the church is based on how it goes with Israel. We are to do everything in our power to see that Israel prospers
in the God of their salvation.
I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather
through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing
of them the riches of the Gentiles how much more their fulness?
13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles,
I magnify mine office:
14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and
might save some of them.
15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what
shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
I could go on here but enough has been said. We either believe God and get
involved, or we limit the Holy One of Israel. The church needs to ask itself this question, Are we doing everything that we
can do to prosper Israel? Even though their eyes have been blinded for a season, the Church is still responsible to hold the
light before them that Christ is the end of the law of righteousness to everyone that believes. (Romans 10:4) The blinders
will be removed and all of Israel will be saved as it is stated in Romans 11:25-27 by the Apostle Paul.
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,
lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles
be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall
come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
The Church needs to make sure that we are not found wanting in this area,
but we hear the words from our Lord, Well done, Thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord. There will
be great joy in the day that all of Israel is saved and we want to be a part of it.
Today, the body of Christ must stay focused on our purpose. We must pay attention
to the things that are important to God and stay involved in them. The salvation of Israel is key.
The Apostle Paul shows his heart as well as the heart of God towards Israel
in Roman 9:1-5.
I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness
in the Holy Ghost,
2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren,
my kinsmen according to the flesh:
4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and
the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came,
who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
We are to continue to pray that the veil be removed form the heart of Israel
that Christ be revealed to them in the old testament.
II Corinthians 314-16, But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth
the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
- Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.
We need to pray to the Lord of the harvest that he send forth laborers into
his harvest, which is Israel.
When you read the following verses, it is plain to see that the harvest Jesus
is referring to is Israel and to see his heart towards them.
Matthew 9:33-38, And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the
multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
34 But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the
devils.
35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their
synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them,
because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but
the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth
labourers into his harvest.
God needs laborers in Israel. Pray that they be sent. Again it is plain to
see in Jesus’ teachings that at His coming all nations shall be judged as to how they treated Israel.
Matthew 25:31-32, When
the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
The sheep nations are the ones that treated Israel with kindness. The goat
nations are the ones that did not. Note Matthew 25:40, And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
The only brethren Jesus had when He spoke this was his own
countrymen. When this entire teaching is studied in Matthew Chapters 24 and 25, it is evident that Jesus is talking about
the elect, God’s chosen people, His countrymen. Israel is the apple of God’s eye, the very heartbeat of God in
the earth.
His throne shall reign above Jerusalem as a faithful witness
forever.
Psalm 89:27-37, Also
I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand
fast with him.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as
the days of heaven.
30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity
with stripes.
33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer
my faithfulness to fail.
34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of
my lips.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before
me.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful
witness in heaven. Selah. Think About It!
Notice in Luke 7:1-10, we see the reason that Jesus came and healed the Centurion’s
servant that was ready to die was because the Centurion had built the nation of Israel a synagogue. When the Jews that were
sent by the Centurion told Jesus this, He went with them even though the Gentile’s time had not yet come.
It was the Centurion’s attitude of humility and love for Israel that
got his servant healed, which caused Jesus to say, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel, not just the Centurion’s
understanding of the authority of sending the word. He put himself in position to receive.
If you are not humble towards the nation of Israel and blessing them with
material things, you can send the word all you want, but it is not going. Your faith will not work with out love towards Israel.
You must first put yourself in a position to receive, like the Centurion.
The nation of Israel is first partakers of the salvation of God, and then
the Gentiles.
God found a centurion by the name of Cornelius, who was a devout man and
had given much alms to God’s people, to reveal salvation to the Gentiles. Read about it in Acts chapter 10. This man’s
prayers and alms came before the Lord as a memorial.
The more churches get involved in blessing and praying for Israel the more
of God’s blessings will be upon them. Amen.
Notice the attitude of the church in Macedonia and Achaia concerning giving
to Israel.
II Corinthians 8:1-5, Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of
God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and
their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were
willing of themselves;
4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take
upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to
the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
The Apostle Paul is writing to the Church of Corinth to be likewise minded.
In verses 6 – 8 in the same chapter Paul goes on to say, Insomuch
that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.
7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge,
and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others,
and to prove the sincerity of your love.
Paul goes on in II Corinthians 9:1-4, For
as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them
of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain
in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
- Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared
, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
It is evident in the scriptures that the early church understood this truth
and was very diligent to bless Israel. In Romans 15: 25-28 we see the Apostle Paul ministering the gift of those in Macedonia
and Achaia to the poor saints at Jerusalem.
But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution
for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the
Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this
fruit, I will come by you into Spain.
One sure way to seal fruit to your account is to give of your finances into
ministries that are doing everything they can to bless Israel. Paul stated that this is the duty of the church to make sure
Israel is being blessed. This is a sure way to have God supply your every need out of His riches in glory. If you want your
church blessed beyond measure, make sure they are doing everything that can be done to bless Israel.
Paul continues on in II Corinthians 9:8-15, And
God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every
good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor:
his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your
food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through
us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto
God of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints,;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for
your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding
grace of God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
This is how we get Israel’s attention with the gospel of Christ. This
is what causes them to give thanks to God and to pray for the body of Christ. When we give to them of our material things
we get their attention.
There is coming a day very soon that God is going to reach into the heart
of Israel and pull back the veil and say, "There He is, Behold your Savior, the Holy One of Israel. Thy Maker is your husband".
The church also needs to take heed to the examples that are given in the
Bible of Israel’s disobedience and learn from them that we not fall into the same examples of unbelief in the troubled
times of today. Notice Psalm 78:19, Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?
We need to be sure to stay in faith in times of lack of this world and understand
in our hearts that God is faithful and will continue to supply us with full supply. Our tongues must speak good of His Name
at all times, speaking no doubt, only faith. If we speak doubt, we tempt God and cut our supply short. God is the God of abundance
and He will abundantly supply our every need when we stay in faith, doubt nothing. Remember, God took an oath that He cannot
bless unbelief. Only faith can He bless.
I refer you back to the chapter in this book, The Difference Between Believing
and Knowing. We must know that God supplies all of our needs out of His riches in glory. How do we know this? We act and
continue to act on the promises. We keep them alive in our hearts and do not let them slip back into the sin of unbelief.
In order for the body of Christ to live in victory in perilous times we must
keep our eyes on the prize. In other words, we must live life with purpose. When God led Israel out of the land of bondage,
He did it with purpose. He told Israel that purpose, which was to go into the land of promise.
That generation lost focus of purpose and wandered in the wilderness forty
years and none of them entered in, with the exception of two men, Joshua and Caleb.
God gave them a test to see if they would obey Him or not. In Numbers Chapter
13, God spoke to Moses and instructed him to take a ruler from each tribe of Israel and to send them in to the land
that He gave them to spy it out. God knew that there were giants in the land. It was a test.
These twelve men’s names were recorded in scripture and the tribes
from which they came. How would you like it if your name was written in scripture forever that you doubted the all powerful
God who had already shown them His mighty power and love as ten of these men did. Oh, but there were two men that it is recorded
forever that they believed God and came back with a good report. Numbers 13:30, And Caleb stilled the people before Moses,
and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
