Let God Be God
In the days that we live in we must let God be God in matters that are to
great for us, specially in the ruling of nations. We have scriptures to stand on in faith. The entire 131st psalm
gives us our attitude in which to stand.
LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise
myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of
his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
- Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.
It is good to put our trust in God concerning our nation and not try to figure
everything out for ourselves. The scriptures tells that this plainly.
Colossians 1:16-17 states, For
by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether
they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and
for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
All rule has been created by Christ both in heaven and earth. And through
His blood he reconciled them all back unto himself.
Colossians 1:20, And, having made peace through the blood of his cross,
by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
The rule of all nations has been put back under the authority of Jesus Christ.
He is now seated at the Father’s right hand waiting for his enemies to be made his footstool (Hebrew 1:13). There is
no nation or tribe that shall not be ruled by the man that God has appointed over it under the ruler-ship of the Lord Jesus
Christ. In the end all nations will come before him and worship him with their substance.
Ephesians 1:19-23 tells us that the church shall be and is now involved in
Christ’s ruler-ship.
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us–ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set
him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every
name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over
all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
According to the scriptures above, that since the resurrection of Christ
from the dead, he has the power over all nations on earth. Concerning the ruler-ship of nations today, Acts Chapter 5 tells
us that God is in control.
Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor
of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye
intend to do as touching these men.
36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody;
to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered,
and brought to nought.
37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and
drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for
if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even
to fight against God.
At the time of this writing, the United States has just elected a new president.
It is not the people’s responsibility to judge this man or any other man whether he be the right one. By judging we
oppose God or as the scripture above states, fight against God and that would not be good for us to be on the opposing side
of God. We need to let God be God. Ultimately, His man will rule this nation. Who are we to say, This is not the one. No man
is a savior, but a servant. There is only one savior and He is the one that has been given power over all nations. His name
is stated clearly in the scriptures. His name is Jesus Christ.
Again, according to the scriptures there is no throne or dominion or principality
or power that has not been declared under his feet by the one Almighty God.
God is not a respecter of persons. What He has done for one he has done for
all. He has the power to raise up and he has the power to cast down. He has the power to turn a king’s heart like a
river.
The Church’s responsibility is to seek the scriptures and find out
our part in the ruler-ship of Christ. What are we suppose to be doing in the days in which we are on earth?
For starters the Church is to pray, support and submit to the leaders
of nations that we may live peaceful lives on earth. Not to say that all nations have the right leaders yet, but in the end
they will. There are sheep nations and there are goat nations. Pray earnestly that the nation in which we live is a sheep
nation and not a goat nation. There is judgment coming to all nations. Pray that our/your nation is obedient and that it be
judged with mercy and not be judged with the wrath of God to disobedient nations.
Matthew 25:31-33, When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the
holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
The bottom line is this. The nations who have shown mercy to Israel shall
receive mercy. The nations who have not shown mercy to Israel will be judged with the wrath of God. Pray that the rulers of
nations understand this truth.
