Let The Shaking Begin

In the book of Haggai we see the prophet speaking of a time in the future, the time in which we live today, that God will shake all nations, the earth, the seas and the heavens, and that which remains will be of Him and Him alone. When the shaking stops the only thing standing will be the kingdom of God, which is founded on the word of righteousness and faith in it.

Haggai 2:6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

In Hebrews chapter twelve we see the writer referring to this passage in Haggai.

Hebrews 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

According to I Peter 1:25, God’s word and faith in it is the only thing that shall abide forever. But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

According to Hebrews chapter one, Jesus Christ and his kingdom, which is His body, the church, is the eternal government that shall abide forever.

Hebrews 1: 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

  1. But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

We are exhorted in Hebrews 12:28-29 to serve God with reverence and godly fear. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

The entire thirteenth chapter of Hebrews tells us how to serve God with reverence and godly fear.

A part of this shaking is the shaking of wealth out of wicked nations into the body of Christ for the building of His house.
